(ADP) would like to invite ADP members, Downtown business and property owners to a meeting on Wednesday, February 6, 9:00 – 10:00 am. The meeting will take place at ADP. This meeting will cover: Schawna Thoma (MOA) will give an update on Downtown Projects, Charlie Keenhold (ADP) will discuss Downtown safety and security trends, and brief “Downtown marketing opportunities” presentations by K&P Enterprises (Hotel Concierge Book), Alaska Mint Trolley (rack card display), Alaska Visitor Center (rack card display), Alaska Channel (Hotel rooms), Coast Magazine (Hotel rooms), and ACVB (member advertising perks). Anchorage Parking is making a few changes for the upcoming year. Effective March 1st, the rates for parking in Downtown will increase. AP released the news of the new rates today. Click here to see the new Permit and Transient Parking Rates that will become effective on March 1st. In addition, as of January 1st 2008, there will no longer be discounts on monthly parking permits. This includes the discount on monthly parking permits that Anchorage Parking gives to ADP Members. They are, however, offering a one-time discount of $10.00 off the price of a monthly parking permit for existing customers who renew their parking permits. This is a one-time only offer and is valid only when you renew your parking permit this year. If you have any questions, please contact Anchorage Parking at 279-7275. Changes are being planned for Town Square, and the Muni wants to know what you think. There will be a public Open House on Monday, February 11, 2008 from 5:00pm - 9:00pm in the lobby of the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. Come early and see the proposed changes on display from 12noon - 5:00pm also in the lobby of the ACPA.
