ADP Annual Meeting -- ON THURSDAY & NOW FREE!

We would like to invite our member business and property owners in Downtown to the Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. 2008 Annual Meeting.

The ADP Annual Meeting - which is open to the public - will take place on Thursday, April 24 from 10:00am – 11:00am in the Chart Room at the Downtown Hilton Hotel.

And the event is now free! That's right, we've decided to not charge for admission to the annual meeting and encourage all of you to come by!

ADP has prepared a special slideshow with generous input from UAA, the Anchorage Museum and many local photographers that will show many of the most familiar places and landmarks in Downtown from different times in our city’s past – where we’ve been and where we’re at now.  You’ll be surprised by some of the changes!

The featured guest at this year’s meeting is Mayor Mark Begich.  He will be speaking about the growth and development of Downtown Anchorage – where we’re at and where we’re going in the future!

Please join us at the Hilton for our 2008 Annual Member Meeting next week.

ADP to launch cigarette litter prevention

ADP will be launching a Cigarette Litter Prevention program partially funded through a Keep America Beautiful grant. The mission is to increase public awareness of the problem, to place ash receptacles in select areas and distribute pocket ashtrays.  The message is that cigarette litter is unsightly, costly to clean up (one full time ADP clean team ambassador), and harmful to waterways and wildlife.

For information on the grant program visit: www.preventcigarettelitter.org or call Cheri Spink at 279-5655 to see how you can help get the word out.
