As you all know, we moved our offices to the Ship Creek Center. Well, the paint is dry, the carpets are clean, and everyone is (for the most part) moved in. So you know what that means: time for an Open House event!
WHAT: Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. Open House
WHEN: Thursday, May 1st from 5:00pm - 7:30pm
WHERE: Our new offices, top floor of the Ship Creek Center (333 West 4th Avenue)
We'll have tasty snacks and appetizers generously donated by Member restaurants & cafes, and staff will be on hand to show you around both the new office the space and our improved shop space across the street in the parking garage.
ADP will be launching a Cigarette Litter Prevention program partially funded through a Keep America Beautiful grant. The mission is to increase public awareness of the problem, to place ash receptacles in select areas and distribute pocket ashtrays. The message is that cigarette litter is unsightly, costly to clean up (one full time ADP clean team ambassador), and harmful to waterways and wildlife.
For information on the grant program visit: www.preventcigarettelitter.org or call Cheri Spink at 279-5655 to see how you can help get the word out.
Don't forget -- Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. is hosting regularly occurring monthly meetings about the upcoming summer construction season for our stakeholders. These downtown construction meetings will happen on the first Wednesday of every month, 9:00am-10:00am at the Alaska State Trooper Museum (245 West 5th Avenue, Suite 113)
Please join us on Wednesday, May 7th from 9:00am-10:00am at the Trooper Museum. Representatives from the Municipality and the various projects in Downtown will be on hand. Bring your comments and questions about the summer construction season to the meeting!
This is just a reminder that the Destination Downtown website contains a wealth of information about the myriad projects in Downtown -- and the upcoming construction!
Check the site often to learn more about road closures and other important information related to the upcoming summer construction season.
Also, you can sign up for twice monthly email updates at the site and even submit questions / concerns / updates via the online contact form. The form goes directly to the Municipality and their contractors, and they will be checking the submissions daily.
So head on over and see what’s new at DestinationDowntown.info!
