Come Learn more About ADP Winter Operations
With our first substantial snowfall several weeks ago, ADP had our first opportunity to try out our new equipment and our new workforce. The results? It looks like we’ll better prepared for snow clearing within the Downtown Improvement District (DID) than ever before!
With that in mind, we would like to invite you to attend one of our winter operations meetings this week at the Alaska State Trooper Museum (245 West 5th Avenue #113), where Clean & Safe Operations Director Charlie Keenhold will brief interested business & property owners about winter 2008/09 operations.
We have scheduled two meetings at different times to accommodate schedules:
Wednesday, November 12th
From 4:00pm – 5:30pm
Friday, November 14th
From 9:00am – 10:30am
We encourage everyone to bring questions and concerns to these meetings so that we can better understand the unique conditions and circumstances of your properties and businesses. Nobody knows your particular part of downtown better than you do, so bring that knowledge to our meetings and let us know what we can do to better provide services.
Our goal is to improve our service delivery this winter through your input and participation. Together, we can all make Downtown Anchorage look better this winter than it ever has before. And what better time to make Downtown look better than ever with this winter being the 50th Anniversary of Statehood.
City Crews Ask Help in Keeping Streets Clear
From the Muni: To effectively remove snow from municipal streets and roads, the city’s street maintenance department is requesting all obstructions be removed from the path of heavy equipment and areas where snow will be stored this winter. Business owners are reminded to remove snow and ice from sidewalks adjacent their businesses. “No Parking” restrictions will be enforced in the downtown area seven days a week, allowing street maintenance to remove snow efficiently. For more information on snow removal, visit www.muni.org
