Well, it didn’t look like they were going to do it, but the Municipality has opened E Street between 5th and 6th Avenues for the winter. It’s a smart thing to do for getting around downtown over the winter.

In case you haven’t seen it in action yet, the new and improved F Street is really, really amazing. The new and improved F Street was part of the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center development. The best part? The streets and sidewalks are all heated, keeping snow and ice from building up. Here they are in action after a recent snowfall:

As you may gather from the name this is “fashion below the waist”. That means fun shoes, pants, purses & accessories.
