Have you ever watched something being minted.  Did you know you can do that in Downtown Anchorage?  How cool is that?!

I was in on business so I missed seeing the show, but the people who watched were pretty impressed and I was just impressed that you can see that kind of thing.

I was also impressed with the variety of items the Alaska Mint offers.  I was there looking for awards and medallions for an event we will be hosting.   I have seen the medallions, but never realized how many other things the Mint makes.

They have a wide selection of jewelry, as well as key rings, money clips and plaques.  They have a selection of gift items and a growing selection of trophies and items that can be engraved.

I came away very excited about my options.  Alaska Mint is also selling all the Fur Rondy pins and coins.  Don’t get caught without your Fur Rondy pin!
