Alaska Visitors Center

The Alaska Visitors Center on 4th Avenue between G and H Streets offers just about everything a tourist could want. They have all the Alaskana trinkets you could possibly imagine. From moose nuggets to fine beadwork you can find it here. They also have an extensive collection of t-shirts and other clothes.
More than trinkets though they offer information and can book trips. They have an extensive collection of books on Alaska and maps. Looking for a map of the bike trails in Anchorage? They got it. Looking to book a halibut fishing charter? They can do that too.
Alaska Visitors Center is one of the official booking sites for the Alaska Ferry system.
If you have relatives visiting and want to know how to entertain them stop by and let the staff at Alaska Visitors Center help you plan many exciting trips that will make your relatives happy (and keep them out of your way).
If you are local you should stop to see what you don’t know about the state you live in and make easy arrangements for your own summer vacation in the last Frontier.
I was amazed that this much variety of items and information could be contained in one location! This is one stop tourist heaven!
