Star Wars meets modern science at the Anchorage Museum and you really want to be there for the introduction!
When Star Wars came out I was drawn to the magic of this different world and time. I didn’t want to miss out on a chance to see the magic up close!
You can create your own hover craft with Legos and learn how this science is used in modern rail systems around the world.
You can make a robot work and learn how C-3P0 and R2-D2 compare to robots today.
I’m not usually too big on science but the museum does a wonderful job of putting magic and fun into science in this exhibit.
Even if you ignore all the learning opportunities there is still a lot to see. Maybe it’s the kid in me, but seeing the costumes up close was magical too.
I got to see Yoda! I know how they made the sound of Darth Vader breathing. How cool is that?!
You can even ride on the Millennium Falcon. The ride itself was fun, but it was more fun watching the people I was with taking pictures and hamming it up in the cockpit.
This exhibit offers something for everyone. I went with a group of adults and we all had to play with a light saber in the gift shop and stare in awe at Chewbacca.
Even if you pretend you are just going for the education you don’t want to miss this exhibit! Make time to visit Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination at the Anchorage Museum.
Get in touch with your imagination and maybe you will even feel the force!
