Bernie’s for Lunch

Did you know that Bernie’s Bungalow serves lunch? Apparently a lot of people are missing out.
I found out about lunch at Bernie’s not long ago and liked it so much I’ve been twice since. The menu is Asian themed but offers a burger and salads for those who like good American fare. I had soup on my first visit and it was filled with sausage and rice noodles and flavor. On my second visit I couldn’t resist the halibut sandwich. It is covered in a crispy panco crust and served with cucumber wakame slaw and …this is the irresistable part…coconut wasabi tartar. I had no idea what cucumber wakame slaw was, but somehow pictured it as a side. No. It goes right on top and along with the special tartar makes the sandwich!
This was one of the best taste combinations I have had. It was almost a sensation as much as a flavor treat! I enjoy food and LOVE good food. This was a LOVE experience. It was so good I wanted to stop people on the street and encourage them to try it. I can’t remember the last time a sandwich made me feel that way. I can’t think of the last time I wanted to write about a sandwich I ate.
If you don’t go try this sandwich at least go look at their menu and see what you would love. I think there is plenty to love on the menu at Bernie’s.
