MESHUGGAH-Nuns! If you haven’t been to see this musical comedy playing at Cyrano’s you have a few more weeks to catch it but the theatre fills fast so get your tickets.
If you are looking for a good laugh or even a few bad laughs this is the show for you. Not a lot to think about but a lot to laugh about. Director Krista Schwarting says in the program, “In difficult political and economic times such as the ones we are now facing, we need something to lighten our load,” MESHUGGAH-Nuns delivers. The jokes are silly and harmless and the dancing and singing add another layer to the fun. This show reminded me of classics like Laugh-In and Hee Haw. Good clean humor and jokes that occasionally make you groan, but always make you smile.
At intermission my friend and I tried desperately to remember the jokes we had just been laughing at. The jokes come in such rapid fire fashion and we were hard pressed to remember any. In the end we were able to come up with a few to tell friends the next day.
The cast did a great job with the timing and the singing and dancing. This is a talented crew.
MESHUGGAH-Nuns is non-stop fun and laughter. Never a dull moment. Silly and senseless are just the ticket for a stress free evening on the town.
