Downtown getting greener!

June 30, 2006 Written by: Chris

You may not have noticed, but Downtown Anchorage is getting greener. And no, I don’t mean the plants in Downtown – I’m talking about the light poles!

Anchorage Downtown Partnership, Ltd. recently secured a contract with the Municipality of Anchorage to clean and repaint light poles throughout Downtown – both inside and outside of the DID. The contract with the Muni covers over 224 light poles!

Contracts such as this – and others like ADP contracts to sweep the Army/Navy Store parking lot – represent efforts by the organization to expand and diversify revenue sources, and is a perfect compliment to the services already provided by ADP under the assessment contract.

So next time you are out on the streets, take a second look at that light pole that you normally walk right by. If it is a clean looking bright green color, then you are looking at a light pole painted by ADP Maintenance Ambassadors, one of the many ways in which ADP continues to make Downtown clean, safe and vital.
