Ice-free streets & sidewalks in action!

In case you haven’t seen it in action yet, the new and improved F Street is really, really amazing. The new and improved F Street was part of the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center development. The goal of the improved F Street is to provide a modern urban pedestrian link that connects Anchorage’s major public facilities and employment centers, including the Egan Center, Town Square Park, the Performing Arts Center, City Hall and the new Dena’ina Center as well as the Atwood Building and its associated new parking facility, the Linny Pacillo Parking Center.
The best part? The streets and sidewalks are all heated, keeping snow and ice from building up. Here they are in action after a recent snowfall:
