Muse Cafe at the Anchorage Museum

Sun and limeade at Muse Cafe. It doesn’t get any better than this.
Since we have seen so little sun this summer my co-workers and I decided it was the perfect day to eat outside at Muse Cafe in the Anchorage Museum.
The sun was brilliant and the spot for the outdoor seating at the cafe blocks the wind so it was toasty warm at our table.
In the spirit of summer I ordered the fresh squeezed limeade and it was fantastic.
I tried the halibut burger with sweet potato fries and was pleasantly surprised. The halibut comes almost like a crab cake. It is in a patty with onion and green pepper.
The patty is thick and comes with a tasty aioli sauce to compliment the fresh halibut. There was also a large helping of fresh tomatoes, lettuce and just the right amount of red onion.
I have to admit I ate the tomatoes separately because they were so good I wanted to enjoy the flavor alone.
The halibut patty with bun was too big for my appetite so I ended up eating the halibut off the bun for the most part. It certainly was able to stand alone.
Losing the bun gave me more room for sweet potato fries too and I do love those sweet potato fries.
My co-workers enjoyed their Caesar salad with blackened halibut and the panini of the week.
Muse is very good with special orders and was able to put the panini on a spinach wrap to make it just right for my co-worker.
They have been helpful with my special dietary needs each time I have been in. I would recommend them to anyone with special food needs. They are accommodating and careful not to give you foods you ask to avoid.
The food is delicious; the sun is amazing and combined with the limeade made for the perfect summer experience.
Rush over to Muse Cafe at the Anchorage Museum and make the most of the summer we have left!
Muse Cafe is at C Street between 6th and 7th Avenues.
