Out of the Closet

When I think about used clothes I don’t think designer labels.  I think musty smelling stores crammed with things people don’t want anymore.  Generally you may find some treasures, but you usually have to sort through some junk to get to them.

Not true at Out of the Closet.  This consignment shop is top of the line.  This is probably the only chance I have of owning anything that says Donna Karan unless I write that on the tag myself.  There isn’t any “junk” at Out of the Closet.  Just top of the line designer labels and quality clothing items that are more stylish than I know how to handle.

This shop has everything from jeans and t-shirts to fur coats.  There are shoes, jewelry, even dog coats and hats.  Everything is a great deal, but because all the items are quality some of the prices are higher than the normal consignment shop.  There are always sale racks and on Wednesdays there is a $5 rack.

If you like consignment shopping or just getting a good deal you can’t miss this store!  Located in the SoNo District on the corner of 7th and D St. Out of the Closet is a refreshing change to ordinary consignment stores.

When I think used clothes I tend to envision cold tile and dim lights with racks of clothes packed together on end.  Not here.  Even used you can’t expect designer clothes to be seen under such conditions!  Nope.  This place is bright and inviting.   The staff are knowledgeable and helpful and they all have great taste in clothes.  Even the owner’s dogs have better taste than I do!

Maybe with Out of the Closet there is hope for my wardrobe and my style.  I’m willing to give it a try.
