Trick or Treat Street

Trick or Treat Street is a FREE & FUN event for families and children to trick or treat from business to business in downtown Anchorage in a safe and friendly environment.

4th Ave. will be closed starting at 6a.m. on 10/27 until the event concludes for our participants.

Join us on Saturday, October 27th from 12:00-4:00pm for activities throughout downtown including include face painting, Halloween cookie decorating at the Hotel Captain Cook, costume contests, horse drawn hay rides and more! We have closed 4th avenue from C to L street for this year’s Trick or Treat Street to promote safe and FUN trick or treating for kids of all ages.

New events this year:

Skinny Raven Frightening 4K Run & Costume Contest.
Find out more information about the run at Skinny Raven’s Website. To register for the run click here! The run will start at 11am. Registration for the event will be at the northwest corner of the Hotel Captain cook. A costume Contest will follow the run @ 12noon to start of Trick or Treat Street! Dress up, run and win LOTS of prizes!

Ghost Tours at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts!
Come see the backstage magic and mystery with cast and characters of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice on a GHOST TOUR guided by Rick Goodfellow at the Alaska Center for the Performing Arts. The Ghost Tours will start at 12pm, 12:45, 2:15pm, 3pm. Call Alaska Dance Theatre for details and tickets, 277-9591.Guaranteed to be spooktacular for All ages – family oriented – not for the faint of heart.

Zombie Movie Fest!
What would Halloween be without Goblins and Ghouls?? The Alaska Experience theatre will be hosting a Zombie Preparedness Month Movie Fest!

Keep your eyes peeled for the official Trick or Treat Street map in the Anchorage Press & Arctic Warrior coming out in the October 19th and 26th Editions! This will help guide your way to trick or treat to participating merchants and activities on the 27th!
